Whether you're an experienced volunteer or newer to our program, you are warmly invited to join us for a gathering where we'll share plans for the upcoming year and review the necessary paperwork that helps us shape our culture of commitment and accountability to one another.
This volunteer meeting will be loosely structured like a typical Sunday morning—with snack, group check-in, and a brief activity or discussion designed to deepen connection among volunteers and grow our skills and confidence in leading and connecting with children and youth. Together, we will find the volunteer role that best fits you!
We're committed to supporting you every step of the way throughout the 26/27 church year with workshops, social events, and community building to help you feel confident, connected, and successful in your role.
Dedicated childcare will not available during this meeting.
There will be a quiet colouring/activity table available in Room 4 for any children who accompany a parent/caregiver volunteer to the meeting. Parents/caregivers will be responsible for supervising their own child(ren).
Alternatively, Calgary Unitarians will cover the cost of hiring in-home childcare for those who need it to be able to attend. Parents/caregivers can organize childcare with their own trusted provider, and contact dre@calgaryunitarians.ca to arrange payment in the way that works best for their individual situation.
